The After School Club is designed to give kids a safe and fun place to learn about rock climbing, physical fitness and more. Indoor climbing is a growing sport around the world and is preparing for its second round at the Olympics. The kids will learn body control, movement and strength. In addition to its physical attributes, climbing also teaches confidence, awareness, problem solving, perseverance and much more. We look forward to sharing climbing and the powerful life lessons that climbing can teach with your children. At the TamaRocks After School Club, your kids will be participating in 2 types of indoor rock climbing, primarily we will be Bouldering: climbing shorter walls over padded flooring. We will also be doing some Top Roping: climbing taller walls while tied into a rope attached to the top of the wall so if the climber falls they will only fall a few inches before the rope will catch them. The kids will learn how to safely Top Rope climb and Belay plus additional activities like slack-lining, rappelling and more. Pricing: Non-members - $65/month Members or Sibling discount - $55/month Cost includes open climbing session on Saturday mornings 8am - 12pm and all equipment for both times.

The goal of the competitive climbing team is to give young athletes the training and tools to progress in their own climbing abilities in a safe and healthy way. Using climbing as the vessel to teach life skills and growing as human beings. Rising to challenges, being pushed to overcome obstacles, recognizing their inner strengths all while creating lifelong climbers. The training program is intended for climbers who wish to compete, however attending competitions is not required. Team members will be given additional training goals (home work) to accomplish in between practices. We will also take the team climbing at outdoor climbing destinations locally and down the line, internationally. TamaRocks is working with the Costa Rica Climbing Federation to organize youth and adult climbing competitions throughout the country with the goal of having Costa Rican climbers competing on the World Cup Circuit and Olympics. TamaRock’s coaching staff has years of experience working with youth athletes including coaching three US National Champions. Pricing: Twice a week - $112.50/month Once a week - $75/month Membership to TamaRocks is also required as team members are expected to climb on their own 1 - 2 additional days. Team members will receive a 25% discount on equipment purchases.

TamaRocks is a great place to host a party! The party includes 1.5 hours of climbing, a dedicated staff member, bouldering, top rope climbing, games and all equipment needed. Let us know if you have any special requests (like a pinata). Our staff will work with you to make your event as fun as possible. Food can be arranged with The Crag Cafe for before or after the climbing time. Cost $25/climber Spectators are free but must have a liability waiver filled out.
